Will and Betty Lowrance hosted a group at Eastland Annex for a noon BBQ on Saturday, May 14. The event was to celebrate Dorris Richardson’s 99th birthday last December 30, and John Tuggle’s 80th birthday on May 3. Dorris is Betty’s mom and John is Will’s cousin. The Annex easily accommodated nearly 50 guests, and Ted Lowrey and crew from Up In Smoke did an excellent job in catering the luncheon.
Both Will and Betty remarked that “Eastland Annex was the perfect venue for our celebration…the building is designed to allow great traffic flow and yet scaled to permit intimacy and quality for visiting. The Annex is completed outfitted, and the playroom was a welcome spot for the younger members of the group. The Lowrances were totally pleased with Eastland Annex. Eastland Annex is a true treasure for Hillsboro, and Donna Hubbard and her team at Eastland Title made us feel welcome and at home.”
